Tour Anti-Slavery Alexander Germany Denmark
Alexander describes the progress and outcomes of his 1839 tour, including meetings held in various cities, interested supporters and anti-slavery campaign material distributed. He solicits a review in the German press of Buxton's 'African slave trade and its remedy', and encourages the establishment of an anti-slavery society in Hamburg. In Denmark he meets the Crown Prince, seeks information on slavery in the Danish colonies and forms a Copenhagen Anti-Slavery committee consisting of Pastor Grundrig, Pastor Roffard and Professor David.
